Day 69 a note from God: Deuteronomy 21-23

If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 NIV

And you thought your parents were tough on you!

I'm in favor of tough love and believe that a little discipline can go a long way, but I am thankful we don't live under the law any more.

Perhaps this helps you understand the lengths that some might go to uphold the law of their holy books. Especially if the believed that upholding the law was the only way to eternal life. Didn't say it makes it right but at least you might begin to understand them. Consider that without Christ we would still be upholding this law.

Be thankful for your parents that in your times of rebellion they didn't follow the law.
