The towns you give the Levites from the land the Israelites possess are to be given in proportion to the inheritance of each tribe: Take many towns from a tribe that has many, but few from one that has few.
Numbers 35:8 NIV
The 48 towns for the Levites were not in one area. They were in different parts of Canaan that belonged to the different tribes. The tribes that received more land had to give more towns to Levi’s tribe.
God reveals that He is fair in all matters. This includes practical matters.
We should be careful to be fair in all that we do.
God cares about every part of our daily lives.
