Here is one of the sources of some of the bad theology that exists . . . Do good things and God will bless you, but IF you do bad things God will get you.
As in Haiti got what they deserved because they were the home of VooDoo and Japan got what they deserved because they were greedy and they attacked America.
Really?
Perhaps you missed the whole change from the Old Testament to the New Testament. Perhaps you missed the moment (that was the cross) when God said enough of the law - it is now fulfilled. NOW, God can have a relationship with an individual like He did with the prophets. NOW, each of us can have a personal relationship with God. NOW, each of us can be held accountable for our actions. NOW, each shall be given one life and one judgement.
Stop the bad theology. Spread the word.
And be thankful that God is not waiting this day to pass judgement on your thoughts and deeds. You still have time to make your relationship right with God.
