The Holy Land Day 4 ... from a mountaintop

Photo [Standing at the top of Mount Carmel]
I have been teaching the story of Elijah at Mount Carmel for over 30 years.  I can’t even describe the feeling of being in the place.  This stop wasn’t on our original tour, but was added at the last minute.  God can be awesome that way!

From this place you can look out and see Mt Tabor, Mt Hermon, and all of the Valley of Jezreel.  From Elijah’s perspective by going up to Mt Carmel … all of the nation could see what was happening.
Now send a message and gather all Israel to me at Mount Carmel. Gather the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah who eat at Jezebel’s table   I Kings 18:19

Ever feel like you were living in a fish bowl where everyone was watching your every movement?
For Elijah he was counting on that fish bowl to deliver the message that God is the one and only God.  Are you willing to put your faith on display for everyone to see in order to reveal God’s power for all to see?
