Day 267 a note from God: Matthew 1 and Luke 2


Nearby shepherds were living in the fields, guarding their sheep at night. The Lord’s angel stood before them, the Lord’s glory shone around them, and they were terrified.
The angel said, “Don’t be afraid! Look! I bring good news to you—wonderful, joyous news for all people.


Luke 2:8-10 CEB

The Good News is goods news.

The news of the coming of Christ came to people like you and I.

The shepherds were outcasts.

The shepherds were the workers.

The shepherds were not part of the elite.

The shepherds were not the news makers.

The shepherds were forgettable.

I think that was God's point.

God came to be with us - be with everyone.

This may be the Top coming down, but in action this would be a raising up the lowly to the top - the meek, the humble . . . will be lifted up.

No matter where you are in life, God has come to that place.

I am confident of that because God told the shepherds!
