When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went to his house. Now his upper room had open windows that faced Jerusalem. Daniel knelt down, prayed, and praised his God three times that day, just like he always did. Daniel 6:10 CEB
I love the last part of this verse . . . just like he always did.
Most of us know the story about Daniel in the lion's den. Some of us know he got there by breaking the king's rule. Few remember the rule was about praying to anyone but the king for a thirty day period.
Daniel was not protesting.
Daniel was not making a statement.
Daniel was not trying to bring to light an injustice.
Daniel was simply doing what he always did - pray!
